On July 12, 1817 Henry David Thoreau was born in Concord, Massachusetts. This Wednesday, July 12, 2017, join the Vermont Book Shop and Middlebury College Special Collections & Archives for a birthday bash celebrating Thoreau's 200th. We'll be at The Book Shop, 38 Main St., from 6:30-7:30pm with cake, souvenirs, and commemorative letterpress broadsides printed on-the-spot with John Vincent from A Revolutionary Press. If you wish to live deliberately, stop by. (Thoreau would have wanted it to be free, so free it is, but only while supplies last.)
