Join us rain or shine in Fairlee on July 11th for a free performance by Left Eye Jump, a Burlington-based blues band that plays the authentic sounds of Chicago, Texas, New Orleans, California, and the Delta of the 1940’s, 50’s, and 60’s. From gritty and haunting Delta slide guitar journeys to T-Bone Walker inspired jump-swing romps, this band delivers on the promise that the blues speak to the very core of all people and are at the root of all modern music.
The concert will be on the Fairlee Town Common from 6:30-8:00pm. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. In the event of bad weather, the rain site is the Fairlee Community Church of Christ, located adjacent the common.
A free prize drawing, featuring items donated by local businesses, will take place during intermission, and everyone who attends the concert is eligible to participate at no cost.
This is the second in a series of 7 weekly Tuesday night concerts in Fairlee. Everyone is welcome, including residents of Fairlee and neighboring towns, tourists, relatives, and others. Bring a friend! For a list of all concerts in the series, check out fairleemusic.org.
The Fairlee Community Music Series is made possible by the Jack & Dorothy Byrne Foundation, Northstar Fireworks, Wells River Savings Bank, Sargent Artesian Wells, and additional support from private donors.
