Music as poetry

Do you love music but not poetry? Come to the Jones Memorial Library on Thursday, July 13 at 6:30 p.m. and let Kyle Chadburn change that. He'll analyze music lyrics for a poetry perspective and discuss how people who are otherwise indifferent to poetry can access it through music. Dissect the lyrics to some well-known songs while exploring the use of rhythm, rhyme, characterization. imagery, metaphor, symbolism and more, with performances of each.
