The Isle La Motte Community Organization, the Isle La Motte Preservation Trust, and the Northwest Solid Waste District are co-sponsoring a "how-to" compost class from 6:30 to 8 pm, on Wed. July 12, at the ILM School.

Aaron Shepard will provide us with basic instructions on how to start composting and how to successfully create soil from your household kitchen food waste.

Thanks to an Agency of Natural Resources grant, attendees will have the opportunity to purchase deeply discounted compost bins for $23! (Retail is $80-$100.) Kitchen food scrap containers ($5) will also be available for purchase. Cash or check only.

The class is free and open to the public.
