Progressing from "know your brook" we can add - "Know Your River." The Winooski floods; is subject to polluting run-off; and is an important source of recreation and habitat for all of us around here. The Headwaters watershed includes Cabot, Marshfield and Plainfield... so we plan together.

On Tuesday, July 11th at 6 p.m. at Plainfield Opera House, the Central VT Regional Planning Commission will hold a public workshop about the Winooski headwaters and watershed. This is free. Come learn how all the connected communities plan for, and implement, strategies to keep our river clean, safe and manageable.
