The Northfield Conservation Commission will host a hike to the summit of Paine Mountain on Sunday, July 16th. Meet at the Green Mountain Family Medical Practice on Paine Mountain Drive (off Crescent Ave) at 9:45 AM to begin hike at 10:00. The hike is approximately 6 miles long with an elevation gain of 1400', of moderate difficulty, and should take about 4 hours. This will be a great opportunity to visit the Northfield Town Forest and become familiar with its trails. Remember to bring a lunch, water, and insect repellent. All are welcome, but please leave dogs at home.

The Commission also plans to host future hikes on August 27 (Scrag Mountain) and September 17th (TBA). More information will be posted as we approach those dates.
