Transition Williston Talk & Discussion

Past event
Jul 12, 2017, 7 to 9 PM

This Wednesday night is a wonderful opportunity to investigate the concept of TRANSITION for Williston. ...No commitment necessary, just learning and considering.

We watched an introductory movie: IN TRANSITION 2.0
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FFQFBmq7X84

and now will learn more about how it works. We have an opportunity to discuss: what appeals to us about it, challenges, what we'd like to see in Williston, etc.

We'll be gathering in the library
with the gracious and upbeat Ruah Swennerfelt, author, activist and member of Transition Charlotte and Transition USA
from 7-9 pm.
CAKE! in honor of Ruah's birthday on July 13.

TRANSITION is a community-led response to the challenges of our time.
Not waiting for national leaders to act in our best interests, community members get together to talk, plan and do projects that further local self-sufficiency, in that town's own particular way. Started in 2005 in England, there are now over 1,500 Transition Initiatives in 50 countries. 180 in USA, 6 in Vermont.

Hope to see you there!
