The Greensboro United Church of Christ Summer Lecture Series begins on Wednesday, July 12, at 7:30. at Fellowship Hall in Greensboro. Featured on the 12th will be Joyce Mitchell, the noted educator, who will share with us her experience helping the Chinese public school system to develop new programs and skills in northwestern China. On Wednesday, July 19, Ed LeClair, Executive Director and Producer of Circus Smirkus, will talk to us regarding the past successes, new challenges, and future developments of this renowned circus which has its headquarters in Greensboro. On Wednesday, August 9, Merrill Leffler, a noted poet, author of a book of poetry called "Mark the Music," and director of a distinguished publishing company, Dryad Press, will speak about the changes in independent literary publishing and its relationship to commercial publishing.
