Be sure to visit the tent in the stone circle next to Town Hall any time between 9:00 and 2:00 on July 4th for a wonderful array of items to bid on or take with you. Bring the kids for snow cones.
This year’s gift certificates are exciting: Shelburne Farms and ECHO family memberships, a dinner for six or a cake for 50 or garden weeding, area restaurants (Bearded Frog, Mary’s), performances (Vermont Stage, First Night), lessons (trombone, mandolin, banjo, ukulele, piano) and more.
Come by to see the extensive display of furniture, artwork, clothing, crafts, and books, and place your bids. Notice the beautiful rain barrel painted by Hinesburg artist Sandy Rivkin of Drawing Nature. Purchase raffle tickets for a Vermont Folk Rocker, the drawing to be held in the fall.
Plants have a fixed price, so you can take them with you. They’ll include an azalea and other shrubs, fuschia, dahlias, clivia and orchid cactus houseplants, and more. Also available to “buy now” are items on the Little Treasures table.
The auction benefits Responsible Growth Hinesburg (RGH) and its water quality projects.
