The 48th Annual Colchester 4th of July Celebration is THIS TUESDAY, JULY 4, 2017! Please see below for the schedule of events:
• The day starts off with a 5K Fun Run starting at Union Memorial School. Registration begins at 7:30 AM, race starts at 8:15 AM. $5.00/person. Top three male, female, and junior finishers will receive a medal. Top male and female finishers receive a special prize from Colchester Health & Fitness!
• The 4th of July Parade will begin at 11:00 AM. PLEASE NOTE! The parade route will change for 2017 only: The parade will be on BLAKELY ROAD, beginning at the Colchester High School and ending at Lavigne Road. Parking is available at the Colchester Middle School, Malletts Bay School, and Colchester Town Offices. This year, we will recognize Pam Loranger as our Grand Marshal, and thank her for her dedication, volunteerism, and many contributions to our Town.
• Lifeguards will be on-duty at Bayside Beach and Bayside Paddle Sports will be open for paddleboard, kayak, and pedal boat rentals from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
• More entertainment begins at Bayside Park beginning at 5:00 PM with concessions and inflatables. The Hitmen will perform at the Bayside Pavilion from 6:45 – 8:45 PM.
• Fireworks will be launched at dusk from the Bayside Softball Field. Please be sure to stay behind the safety fence.
