I moved to Vermont last year after living in the Philippines for four years and have been distressed by the news about Typhoon Haiyan, to say the least. Most of the people in the typhoon's path struggled to survive before the storm hit. Now many of them have lost family members and the few possessions they owned. While the typhoon is quickly becoming yesterday's news, it is estimated that more than two million Filipino people have been left homeless. Recovery efforts have only begun.

Montpelier High School is hosting a talent show on Saturday to raise money for the continued relief efforts. The talent show will begin at 7PM in the Auditorium. The suggested minimum donation is $5. Proceeds will go to Unicef. Please come! The performers are quite talented so it is well worth coming to the show.
