The Greensboro Historical Society summer exhibit "Old China Hands" will feature four Greensboro families who lived in China in the 1800's and 1900's and left during the Japanese invasion in the 1930's. The four families, Winston/Hale (Bascom); Corbett (Irwin), Houghton/Freeman; and Allman (Burnham), knew each other in China and continued their connection in Greensboro. Opening reception: Sunday, July 2, 3 - 5 pm, GHS building next to Willey's Store. Exhibit hours: July and August, Tues., Wed., Thurs., 10:30 - 2:30; Sat. 10 - 12.
