"The Meaning of the Fourth of July for the Negro" -- Live On-Air Reading at WGDR

Community members are invited to WGDR to read Frederick Douglass' historic speech live on the radio during Bon Mot, Sunday July 2nd from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Listeners can hear the program at 91.1 FM, Plainfield or 91.7 FM, Hardwick or streaming at WGDR.org. The broadcast will be available on-demand for two weeks.

Doors open at 4 p.m. Turn onto Northwood Drive from Route 214 in Plainfield, VT 05667. Take your first left to WGDR/Eliot Pratt Library. Park in the lot on the right. Continue on foot to the WGDR Studios in the basement of Pratt Library at Goddard College. Come on down and bring your family and friends to participate in a many-voiced tribute to Douglass' best thinking about liberty and justice for all.
