The Calais Climate Action Team broke ground last weekend on a fabulous new project, the Gospel Hollow Edible Park, located out behind the Calais Town Hall. With help from a grant from the Hunger Mountain Coop we are installing a beautiful, edible park for all Calaisites to eat and enjoy for generations to come. The first wave of planting will happen tomorrow (Saturday, 6/24) at 9am and will include 8 Hazelbert Trees and 4 Pear Trees. Please come learn about the project and how to get involved, and most importantly, feel free to bring a shovel to help spread compost & mulch, dig sod, and plant trees! Family/Kid friendly.
