Vermont Youth Dancers (VYD) will present their teen show, Mad At Nothing, or: A Hatter’s Guide to Wonderland, at Mount Mansfield Union High School on Friday, June 30 at 7:00 p.m., and on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Mad At Nothing is a reinvention of the Lewis Carroll classic story, told through dance and popular music, and will appeal to young children, teens, and adults with its dynamic performers and vibrant twist on classic storytelling. All proceeds for this show go to the Nickerson Family for their son James' battle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Additional donations can be made to the James Nickerson Fund at the Community Bank in Jericho.

VYD follows the story of Alice, a high spirited girl who feels out-of-place in her subdued hometown. By happy accident, she stumbles into another world, full of outlandish creatures and wild adventures. Alice dubs this world “the Wonderland,” and befriends its wacky inhabitants, finally feeling like she belongs. But the longer she stays, the stranger and more dangerous the Wonderland becomes. When a jealous queen threatens to destroy everything Alice and her friends hold dear, Alice faces a terrible choice: stay and watch the Wonderland fall apart, or leave the only place that has ever felt like home.
