Meditation and Mindfulness based therapies are cost-effective, humanitarian, and accessible to all. Whether you already have an established practice, know little about meditation, or wish to learn more - come just as you are! We will explore the body-mind and discuss what can support, and what hinders, this connection that is imperative to our health. Various techniques will be addressed with a particular focus on Vipassana meditation and pranayama, breathing exercises. Road blocks on the path will be revealed and tools that act as allies introduced. There will be ample time for practice, questions, and sharing. Julie MacAdam is a yoga teacher, body worker, plant enthusiast, and practitioner of meditation. She formally trained at Kripalu in Massachusetts and Lotus Palm in Canada. She has interned at various herbal programs and is currently enrolled in the clinical program at VCIH. Her practice of meditation began nearly a decade ago with Vipassana and has continued to deepen over the years. She is the founder of Medicinal Changes, a small business through which she offers what she loves.
