The Calais Board of Abatement will hold a hearing on Monday, June 26, 2017 at 7 pm at the Calais Town Hall, 1662 Kent Hill Road to hear the following abatement requests:

1. Request for abatement of delinquent taxes of $1007.34 not covered by property sold at delinquent tax sale of Scott Fellows property sold to A &M Properties.
2. Request for BOA to determine manifest error in order for Selectboard to approve refunds and issue checks to taxpayers who overpaid delinquent tax penalties.

The meeting is open to the public. A Board of Abatement meeting is a quasi-judicial proceeding; members of the public must be notified of the meeting, but may only observe. The Board may only hear from the taxpayer, a lister or someone else from town government, or anyone called by the Board as a witness to provide information.
