Please join us in Jeffersonville, on Tuesday, July 4th - we’ve got a lot to celebrate this Independence Day!
This year’s theme, “A River Runs Through It,” celebrates Lamoille County and the beauty of the Lamoille River Valley..
At 10AM, our featured event, the Independence Day Parade begins. Floats, marchers, antique cars, and the Hannaford Fife & Drum Marching Band (sponsored by Union Bank) will start their journey at G.W. Tatro on Rt. 15, wind through Jeffersonville and end at the Cambridge Elementary School Field. It will be led by Grand Marshall Peter Ingvolstad, former Director of Snow Sport and Summer Fun University at Smugglers’ Notch Resort, committed Rotarian, longtime Cambridge resident, and all around community volunteer.
If you would like to enter a float, march, or participate in the parade in some other way, arrive at G.W. Tatro's no later than 9:30.
After the parade:
•Enjoy live music by Christine Malcolm and “Honey I’m Home,” sponsored by the Cambridge Arts Council, and an Awards Ceremony sponsored by The Vermont Flannel Company
•Visit fabulous vendors including local food, arts, crafts, community groups, and free face painting sponsored by Jack F. Corse, Inc.
•Play games and activities, Bingo for all ages, and a frog jumping contest
•Smugglers Notch Season Pass and Bash Badge silent auction, at the Lamoille Region Chamber of Commerce booth, generously provided by Smugglers’ Notch Resort
If you would like to be a vendor, please contact Deborah Carroll at deborah@lamoillechamber.com or Rockin' Ron Carter at rcarter@smuggs.com
This Day celebration is hosted by your friends at the Lamoille Region Chamber of Commerce. Please visit them at their booth in the CES Field for mini golf.
Later that evening, we hope that you’ll head up to Smugglers’ Notch Resort for a BBQ presented by the Cambridge Fire Department, patriotic music and other tunes played by the 40th Army Band playing, with a Fireworks Finale at dusk!
