Baking Contest Saturday!

Past event
Jun 24, 2017, 5:30 to 8 PM

Henry Jacqz, working as a volunteer for Vermonters for a New Economy, has been going door-to-door in town to let people know about the baking contest event this Saturday at the Willey Building. Unfortunately, he ran out of flyers the other day, so I apologize to Les Church that he didn't have something in writing with the date, time, and contest rules.

There is a free community supper starting at 5:30 at the Willey Building on Saturday, June 24th, sponsored by the Cabot Community Association, Global Community Initiatives, Headwaters Garden and Learning Center. Justice for All, and Vermonters for a New Economy. The supper includes PSAs from local organizations, a skit, and a world cafe discussion to generate ideas for a better Vermont.

The contest, called Baking for a Better Vermont, offers prizes in three categories: main dish, bread, and dessert. Please register as a baker or as a judge (everyone can be judges, all you need are taste buds) by clicking this link:

We need to know how many people are coming, so please register as a judge (even if you don't particularly want to do that job).

Bakers should cook their contest entries in advance and drop them off in the auditorium of the Willey Building on the 3rd floor by 5:00 on Saturday. If there are people in town who would like to help with setting up the room and cleaning up, we need help - please write henry.jacqz@gmail.com or to me to volunteer.

We hope to see you there!
