The Adamant Community Club will host the first of several musical events this summer on Saturday (the 24th) at 7:30: a contra dance with David Kaynor calling. David has been calling dances in New England since the 1970s, and is well known in Central Vermont as the energetic leader of the Vermont Fiddle Orchestra. All dances will be taught; beginners are welcome. If you haven't been to the Club (it's at 1161 Martin Road, across from the Adamant church) in a while, you can admire our new roof, new porch roof, new steps to the front door, and new composting toilet. Admission is $8, free for those under 12. Our next event: Sunday, July 2, at 7:30, we'll host "Them Other Brothers," a bluegrass band comprised of musicians from other well-known bands (Andy Sacher, Mark Greenberg, Danny Coane, and Paul Miller).
