United Community Church will be hosting a community wide talent show and pie auction at our North Building (1052 Main Street, St. Johnsbury, VT 05819) at 7 pm on June 23, 2017. This event is by donation to assist us in raising money for local mission.
We will be having an evening of talent from near and far, and of all ages. There will be singing, dancing, poetry, dramatic monologues, comedy and more. Such locals as Sherri Fleming, Don Vincent and Sandy Murray will be preforming.
Our special Emcee will be Erik Volk. Erik Volk brings a broad variety of experiences to our stage this evening. He serves as Executive Director of the Cohase Regional Chamber of Commerce (which services Bradford, Newbury and Fairlee, Vermont as well as Haverhill, Orford & Piemont, New Hampshire.) He also is a training & development consultant serving clients throughout the United States and an Adjunct Instructor at Vermont Technical College in Williston, Vermont. Outside of his work endeavors, he is a published author of humorous fiction, a former stand-up comedian, and has also acted in two productions with our local community theater, the St. Johnsbury Players! A resident of Groton, Vermont, he serves on the Groton Free Public Library Board of Trustees as well as the board of the Groton Historical Society.
