Green Mountain Swing is an 18-piece big band based in central Vermont. We play tunes made famous in the swing era of Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, and many others—hits of the thirties (“In the Mood”, "Puttin' on the Ritz), forties (“Take the A Train"), and fifties (“Satin Doll”).

We also draw from more recent decades with songs like “Moondance”, “Does Anybody Really Know What Time it Is", and “YMCA.” We play tunes of all tempos: ultra-peppy (“Jump, Jive an' Wail”), up-tempo (“American Patrol”), moderate swing (“Fly Me to the Moon”), and slow (“When I Fall in Love,” “Misty”, “Moonlight in Vermont”). We play cha-chas, tangos, bossa nova, Jazz waltzes, blues and funk.
