Across the country, many states fail to protect people against discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity, and several explicitly restrict public accommodations for those who are transgender. On Sunday, June 25, Emily Joselson and Andy Nagy-Benson will host a panel discussion,“Love Thy Neighbor: The Long Road to Full LGBTQ Rights.” How can each of us better understand issues of gender identity? How can our community better support LGBTQ youth and adults? This month’s Community Conversation will take place from 4:00-5:30 at The Congregational Church of Middlebury (UCC).
