VERGENNES UNION HIGH SCHOOL BOND VOTE
DECEMBER 10, 2013
The legal voters of the District may vote in the respective municipalities of their residences at the polling places and during the hours listed below:

Here is the work that will be accomplished if the bond vote has a passing result:
1) Replace the original 1958 kitchen, and in the process, achieve energy efficiency savings and health and safety upgrades.
2) In the auditorium, replace failed lighting and curtain rigging with functional equipment that meets safety codes. Also, replace the inoperable air handling system to meet health and safety regulations.
3) Address several site deficiencies that will enhance safety around the school grounds, add handicapped accessible parking, and resurface the crumbling parking lot.
4) Replace the bleachers in the Middle School Gymnasium that no longer meet safety standards.
5) Refinance the $600,000 roof loan passed last June into the proposed bond package. This will reduce tax burdens, by spreading the life of this 30 year investment over a 20 year payback period.
A flyer with this information is being mailed to all residents of the VUHS School district.
