Trumpcare or Obamacare? Join us for a film & discussion with national expert Dr. Andrew Coates about another more affordable option.
On Monday, June 19th at 7 pm at the Greenwich Free Library, Greenwich Indivisible New York will screen Fix It: Health Care at the Tipping Point. This one-hour film traces the 2-year journey of American businessman Richard Master as he searches for a solution to escalating health care costs that are suffocating his business.
Americans pay more for healthcare than any other developed nation, but it doesn’t have to be this way. This powerful documentary reaches across the political and ideological divide and makes a compelling case for a single-payer health care system for all.
Following the film, we’ll hold a community discussion about the benefits of single payer healthcare and our struggles with the current system. Special guest, Andrew Coates, MD, past president of Physicians for a National Health Plan, will join us to answer your questions and share his wealth of insights on the subject.
We are promoting the New York Health Act, passed by the NYS Assembly in May. This single-payer system will provide health care to all New Yorkers and save residents and taxpayers billions of dollars. It will also save our local government units and school systems large sums of money. Come find out how!
This event is free and open to all.
