Community Capital of Vermont offers free QuickBooks training to our current, former, and prospective borrowers, as well as to other current business owners and anyone thinking of starting a business. Register for one or both of the free sessions described below. A registration form attached.
Workshop 1 (morning session): Introduction to QuickBooks
8:45 a.m. — 12:30 p.m.
The morning session is for participants new to QuickBooks accounting software, or those interested in a refresher. Topic covered will include:
the Chart of Accounts;
Creating Customers, Invoices, and Receiving Payments;
Creating Vendors, Entering Bills, Making Payments, and Printing Checks;
the Check Register; and
lots of tips and tricks really helpful to know as you learn your way around QuickBooks.
Workshop 2 (afternoon): Reconciliation, Taxes, and Reports
1:45 p.m. — 4:30 p.m.
The afternoon session is for QuickBooks users who attended the morning session, or already have some experience. In this workshop, we cover:
Reconciling Your Bank Statement with QuickBooks;
Taxes: Sales, Use, and Rooms & Meals;
Running Reports;
Basics for Reading Your Financials.
Whether you are seeking a refresher or are a new user, register for either or both sessions. These hands-on workshops are delivered by QuickBooks ProAdvisor David Parker and Business Advisor Maggie Fox. Each participant receives a complete QuickBooks manual.
