Our friend and neighbor Marylen Grigas was a beloved English teacher, pottery teacher, theater director, and librarian at Rock Point School from 1980 – 1998. Marylen also served on the Board of Trustees of the school after she retired; she was always generous with her energy, creativity, insight, and wisdom. This winter, Marylen passed away after living with cancer for several years. The event will be held at Rock Point School just behind Burlington High School.

Marylen was my special and wonderful friend, we shared plants and stories, dog kisses and poops, and the inevitable truth of life and death. I miss her so much. I have planted flowers and repainted the planter box at Flynn and Pine - just across from her house...Please give it a smile and a nod as you pass by..I hope that it will make her happy to see the flowers still blooming!
