Allis State Park, Rt. 65 Brookfield, VT – Free Programs for June 2017 - Day Use Admission at Allis is Free!
Saturday June 17 10:30-11:30 am – Bear Hill Nature Trail Hike led by park volunteers Rachael and Anne. ¾ of a mile, moderate terrain, sturdy shoes needed. Explore the Trail with short stops at 13 guideposts, including the “bear cave.” Open to all, children under 9 must be accompanied by an adult. Bug spray, water bottle, sunscreen recommended. Park in day use area and meet there for walk.
Wednesday June 21 10:00-11:00 am – StoryWalk® guided walk and reading of Over in the Meadow, followed by coloring pictures of favorite animals. Recommended for children 2-6 years old, all are welcome. Children under 9 must be accompanied by an adult. Held at picnic pavilion near day use parking area – please park there. Coloring supplies provided by the park.

Wednesday June 28 10:00-11:00 am – Storywalk® guided walk and reading of The Birdwatchers, followed by building your own wood bird house! Book recommended for children 5-8 years old, bird-house building is fun for all. Everyone is welcome to both. Held at picnic pavilion near day use parking area – please park there. Craft supplies provided by the park. Please call the park at 802-276-3175 to tell us you’re coming so we have enough bird-housing building supplies.
