“The warmth of summer has finally arrived and the fairways and greens are most inviting,” says Wayne Foster, Chair of the Valley Rotary Club’s 6th annual Mad River Valley Golf Tournament. “If you are looking for a great way to get outdoors before the summer heat arrives, why not join us on Saturday, June 17, 2017 (Father's Day Saturday) and play in our tournament, held at the Sugarbush Resort Golf Club.”
Registration will start at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 10:00 a.m.
This year 100% of the Tournament’s net proceeds will be donated to Global Health Media Project of Waitsfield, VT (www.globalhealthmedia.org). The non-profit is a leader in the development and distribution of lifesaving teaching videos for front line health care workers worldwide.
“What else could you ask for,” says Foster. “Not only will you have the opportunity to spend a day with friends at the Sugarbush Resort Golf Club, you will, at the same time, help send the message that we all have a responsibility to promote health and wellness throughout the world.”
Global Health Media Project has produced over 90 videos—available in nearly 50 languages—that teach basic health practices in a way that is easy to understand and follow. These videos are free of charge for frontline health care workers and caregivers worldwide, and can be downloaded for offline use in areas where Internet connectivity is limited. Help the Mad River Rotary support this local organization with its astounding mission and worldwide reach.
The tournament will be played in an 18-hole scramble format. Longest Drive, Hole-in-One, and Closest to the Pin will be offered along with a practice range and putting. Mulligans will be available, and a pro from Sugarbush Resort Golf Club will hit one of your drives, each for a modest additional contribution. Following the tournament, awards and raffle prizes will be given out at the awards reception.
You may sign up as a team ($400) or as an individual ($100). The entry fee for Sugarbush Golf Club Passholders is only $70, a $30 discount.
Hole Sponsorships are also available at $100.
