Wondering Where to Get Help Starting or Expanding Your Business?

NEKCA’s Micro Business Development Program in collaboration with the Center for Women in Enterprise and ASPIRE! present its Summer series of “FREE Entrepreneurial Trainings for Women Owned Businesses” for the months of June, July and August.

Join us on June 21st to learn more about the organizations throughout the Northeast Kingdom that offer FREE technical assistance. Guest Speaker, Gwen Pokalo, from The Center for Women in Enterprise will share the importance of having a business plan. We will then host a panel discussion, with experts in their fields ranging from agricultural businesses, micro businesses, women owned businesses, small businesses, government procurement, loan technical assistance, and community development. There will be time to meet with each business counselor / advisor to learn more about their specific programs. Most services are free and can offer ongoing support as you develop your business venture.

Panelists include the Center for an Agricultural Economy and the Vermont Food Venture Center, Center for Women in Enterprise, Community Capital of Vermont, NEKCA’s Micro Business Development Program, Northern Community Investment Corp., Northeastern Vermont Development Association, the Small Business Administration, the Vermont Small Business Development Center and the Vermont Procurement Technical Assistance Center (in partnership with the VtSBDC).

Save the date! July 26th – Legal Considerations for New Business Owners and August 16th – Financing Strategies Panel, free workshops provided by the Center for Women & Enterprise through a grant from the Vermont Women’s Fund.

This training is free and will be held in conference room 126 at the Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) in St. Johnsbury. Time: 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Free light lunch provided. Pre-registration is requested; please call (802) 748 – 6048 or register by email at amyr@nekcavt.org. Please RSVP by June 19, 2017.
