As volunteer “eyes on the water”, we provide valued observations to the Vermont Department of Health and Department of Environmental Conservation.
Learn how to recognize and report a blue-green algae (BGA) bloom. Your observations may keep someone or a faithful pet out of danger.
The workshop is open to anyone interested in helping to monitor lakes and ponds for blue-green algae.
The Memphremagog Watershed Association (MWA) is a partner in monitoring Vermont waters and is recruiting volunteers to monitor areas in Lake Memphremagog.
The Vermont Department of Health/Newport Office is hosting the workshop.
To be sure we have enough materials, please reserve your seat by June 9th
