Hyde Park Lighting Ceremony

Past event
Dec 6, 2013, 7 PM

The thirteenth annual Hyde Park Lighting Ceremony will take place Friday evening, December 6 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Teresa's Parish Hall in Hyde Park village.

Residents and friends of Hyde Park are invited to purchase a light for the wreath in honor, memory or celebration of a loved one or a special event. We will gather around the wreath Friday evening in order to light the lights as each name is being read.

During the ceremony, children and their parents are invited to gather at the Lanpher Memorial Library for stories read by Frosty-the-Snowman to our young children downstairs and the making of holiday crafts upstairs in the Library for elementary school youngsters and up.

There will be a social time following these events at St. Teresa's with hot chocolate and cookies provided.

To purchase a light, look for order forms in the local newspapers, your November electric bill, or at various places around the villages of Hyde Park and North Hyde Park. We encourage light orders to be made by November 29th. We hope to see you on December 6th to remember and honor those who are important to us and to celebrate family and community. This event takes place, thanks in large part to the members of the Hyde Park Community Circle. For more information, you can contact Judy Clark - 888-4864
