Brahms Requiem for African Famine Relief June 17

The Green Mountain Mahler Festival, in conjunction with the USCRI/Vermont Refugee Resettlement Program in partnership with the Vermont Somali Community, will present a performance of the Brahms German Requiem to benefit famine relief efforts in Africa at 4:30 pm on Saturday, June 17 at the Elley-Long Music Center in Colchester. Conducted by Daniel Bruce with chorusmaster Richard Riley, the performance will feature soprano Sarah Cullins and baritone Geoffrey Penar as well as the Bread and Puppet Theater and local African musicians. The performance is co-sponsored by the Burlington Civic Symphony and the Champlain Philharmonic Orchestra.
