Irish Traditional Music Concert June 8

Past event
Jun 8, 2017, 7:30 to 9:30 PM

One of the world's most beloved and respected Irish fiddlers meets one of Ireland's foremost uilleann pipers in this unforgettable duo performing in East Montpelier on the evening of Thursday, June 8th.

Fiddler Willie Kelly has been featured on recordings with his friend and mentor, flute player, Mike Rafferty, with whom he has also performed live. (Some of you may remember Mike's concert at the Four Corners Schoolhouse a number of years ago with his daughter, Mary.) Willie lives in New Jersey with his wife Siobhan, an accomplished flute player from County Clare, and their children.

David Power is an award-winning piper from Co. Waterford with a stellar career in concert performance and theatrical productions. He has three critically acclaimed solo recordings: ‘My Love is in America’, ‘Cuachín Ghleann Neifin’ and ‘The Eighteen Moloney’ (2014).

This intimate Vermont concert is one of the stops on a small and select tour to launch David and Willie's acclaimed CD, "Apples in Winter".
