Do you have a vision for Waitsfield’s future? Do you have ideas on how Waitsfield can/should revitalize its economy, or improve its downtown? If so, then we hope you will attend the community meeting on updates to our Town Plan and share them!

The Waitsfield Planning Commission has begun the process of updating the current Waitsfield Town Plan which is due to expire in October 2017. Some elements of the Plan need to be updated and we want to hear your input. The Commission members will hold a community meeting on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at 7pm at the Waitsfield Elementary School, in order to solicit comments on the following key areas of the Plan:

• Revisions to include language about flood resilience and support of the town’s Village Center Designation, and
• Re-drafting four high-priority chapters: Chapter 4 (Housing), Chapter 5 (Economic Development), Chapter 8 (Transportation), and Chapter 12 (Land Use).

We encourage everyone who shares an interest in Waitsfield’s future to attend this community meeting. Please bring your thoughts, suggestions, and neighbors.
