The next meeting of the Ward 6 NPA will take on Thursday, June 1 in the Morgan Room in Aiken Hall at Champlain College. Social time begins at 6:45 and the meeting starts at 7:00 p.m.
We’ll get our regular School Board and City Council updates, as well as a report on the legislative session from State Representative Mary Sullivan. James Lockridge will ask for support for the teen-led music venue, 242 Main, in any restoration of Memorial Auditorium as a public civic space and All NPA will ask to take the lead in organizing public comment on the facility's future. Noelle MacKay, Director of the City's Community and Economic Development Office, will discuss current planning involving New Moran and Memorial Auditorium as civic spaces. A representative from Green Mountain Transit will discuss plans for the introduction of electric buses into the city public transportation system.
