Hi neighbors!
My name is Jacqueline, I'm on the board for Off Center for the Dramatic Arts right here in the Old North End - 294 North Winooski Ave. Did you know that there's some sweet local, independent theatre happening just down the road? Well it's true. And it's happening tonight!
This weekend and next is Off Center's Spring Open, a mini-fest featuring four local artists producing original shows. Chosen by lottery, independent artists submitted proposals for shows and a chance to be given rehearsal and performance space at no cost to them, courtesy of Off Center.
Tonight there is a pay-what-you-can performance of plays from The Vermont Playwrights Circle, and The Birth of Love: The Ballad of Miro Weinberger by Joe O'Brien. The rest of the weekend tickets are $8 students/$12 Adult.
I'd recommend checking it out! Especially if the weather continues to be this rainy. For the price of a movie ticket, a craft beer and a half, two thirds of a hamburger - you can support local art.
