Phil Ochs Song Night hosted by his sister, Sonny Ochs
The music of Phil Ochs remains as timely as ever. Every year Sonny puts together a group of fine musicians to perform her late brother's works. The last time a group was in Montpelier was in the fall of 2001--it was an exceptional and powerful evening. Ochs' music is topical, lyrical, poetic, and even humorous. This year Greg Greenway, Reggie Harris, Tom Prasada-Rao, and Pat Wictor perform together. A special guest is Vermonter, Paul Miller. They are among the best voices and instrumentalists of the contemporary folk world and some original music will be mixed in.
In keeping with the spirit of the evening there will be a community table. Bring materials to share information about your cause, organization, or event. Refreshments by the Twinfield Together Mentoring Program.
