Are you looking for something a bit different for your child? Come learn more about The Schoolhouse in South Burlington. We offer unique multi-age classrooms (K-8th) focused on exploration and play, as well as integrated studies in math, science, language arts, social studies, art and foreign language. Our middle school program (6th-8th) offers an experiential, interest-based, relevant, and challenging curriculum - with field learning in the community and natural world as well as art, music and self-expression. We remain firmly committed to the social, emotional and academic needs of early adolescents.
Our students benefit from (and adore!) our unique Farm, Food & Forest program - created with our partners at Bread & Butter Farm. We also offer daily fresh and healthy hot lunches, ample outdoor play and exploration on our 28 acres of wetlands. The Schoolhouse is a state of Vermont approved K-8 elementary school and licensed childcare center that has provided quality programs for over 40 years. Afterschool, vacation camps and a generous scholarship program too! Now enrolling for 2017-18, grades K-8.
