The next meeting of the Ward 6 NPA will take on Thursday, June 1 in the Morgan Room in Aiken Hall at Champlain College. Social time begins at 6:45 and the meeting starts at 7:00 p.m.
We’ll get our regular School Board and City Council updates, as well as a report on the legislative session from State Representative Mary Sullivan. James Lockridge will ask for support for the teen-led music venue, 242 Main, in any restoration of Memorial Auditorium as a public civic space. Noelle MacKay, Director of the City's Community and Economic Development Office, will discuss current planning involving New Moran and Memorial Auditorium as civic spaces. A representative from Green Mountain Transit will discuss plans for the introduction of electric buses into the city public transportation system.
