Subject: Get ready to have fun: Two Exit 4 fundraiser concerts on 6/3 + 6/10!!!
Hi all,
Mark your calendars and please spread the word: two evenings of fun on the horizon. Exit 4 Open Space has two benefit concerts lined up at Chandler Music Hall in Randolph: Sat. June 3rd and Sat. June 10th. Please help us spread the word. There will also be raffles of several donated items (including a blown glass lamp by Janet Zug!).
The June 3rd show will feature folk musicians John Gailmor, Susie Smolen and Randolphs's own, Cobalt Tolbert. The June 10th show will feature local bands Second Wife and the Shugarmakers. Suggested donation at the door will be $20.
Proceeds from these shows will go towards the fundraising efforts to purchase the remaining 22 acres of land (the driving range) at Exit 4 in Randolph, which the Preservation Trust of Vermont has reached an agreement on to buy for $1 million, if the funds can be raised by June 15th. As of today we have raised $532,000 towards the goal.
We have already helped save 149 acres of prime farmland at Exit 4 that was slated for a massive development, and will now be sold to farmers at regular ag value once the Costanea Foundation (who purchased the 149 acres) puts preservation easements / restrictions on the land. Preservation of these remaining 22 acres are critical to preserving the iconic westerly view of the mountains at Exit 4, Randolph's gateway, and keeping the land for agricultural use.
For more information about the events at the Chandler, please visit www.exit4openspace.org
To donate to help save the land at Exit 4, please visit www.ptvermont.org (there is also a link to donate on the E4OS website). Donations by check or by credit card to Preservation Trust of Vermont for Exit 4 are tax deductible. If the goal is not reached by the deadline, your donation will be returned to you, but we are confident we will reach the goal!
Spread the word about the two shows; bring your friends, and come out and party with us and help a worthy cause for your town and community!
Thank you for your support!
We hope you can make it to the concerts; they will certainly be entertaining and fun evenings!
