The Onion River Race and Ramble is June 4th!
When: Sunday, June 4th. Registration begins at 8AM
Where: Winooski River, from Bolton to Richmond (10.5 miles)
The fourth annual Onion River Race and Ramble is less than two weeks away.
(Note: A cap has been set this year!)
The fee is $25 per person ($15 for youth) if you register by May 29th. Fees go up on May 30th and online registration closes June 2nd.
The event is part of the New England Canoe and Kayak Racing Association's (NECKRA) Downriver Point Series and attracts serious racers as well as river ramblers, their families and friends. There's a class for everybody.
Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third in all racing classes, as well as a special prize for best Bow Ornament. Have your decoration (and/or costume!) ready to be judged at 10AM.
After the race, participants are invited to a light lunch provided by the Richmond Grange (included in fee) with additional food for sale by Cub Scouts, and music by the Friends' own Colin McCaffrey.
