Numerous generous gifts stock the garage at 612 W. Main St.in W. Barnet to raise funds for community initiatives and R&R. It's open for the first time this Sunday from 9-12 (& hopefully subsequent Sundays), offering a wide variety of home and garden, business and kitchen items, some older sturdy wooden furniture, outdoor supplies, clothing and an amazing selection of fiction and non-fiction books in excellent shape -- all ready to be received into new ownership. Donation levels range from very small donations to higher level for more valuable items donated by community members for the fundraising benefit -- i.e. Wedgwood china set, silver serving ware, printers, shop vac, thule racks, bolts of flannel fabric and more, still arriving.
