The League of Women Voters in the NEK and the St. Johnsbury Athenaeum are co-presenting "Beyond Polarity: Stories of Civil Civic Dialogue" on Wednesday, May 31st at 7:00 p.m. at the St. Johnsbury Athenaeum. This is the second program in our Engaged Citizenship series.

Speaker Susan Clark will share research and stories about local democracy to bring to life why now, more than ever, ordinary people can make meaningful change happen through creative, civil civic dialogue. Susan Clark is a facilitator, co-author of the books Slow Democracy: Rediscovering Community, Bringing Decision-Making Back Home and All Those in Favor (with Frank Bryan), and is also the Town Moderator of Middlesex, Vermont.

This program is free and everyone is welcome! In case you can't make it in person, you can watch it on KATV. The St. Johnsbury Athenaeum is handicapped-accessible.
