Due to the nasty weather on May 14th the Guilford Conservaion Commission has rescheduled the walk to Sweet Pond/Borkowski Road to June 4th at 8AM. Bob Engel will be our guide and though the birds are settled in and most of the spring ephemerals have gone by this is still a worthwhile hike in a lovely part of Guilford. There is a magnificent cellar hole, vernal pool, beaver pond and wetlnd area to explore.
Please note that the terrain is hilly and the way to the beaver pond (if you chose to visit it) is a bushwack with no trail. Plan to spend 1.5-2 hours.
Park at the Sweet Pond parking area. Please carpool if possible as parking is limited.
