Please join us tonight for the Friends of Lanpher Memorial Library Speaker Series “Sense of Place with Lisa Kent: Local Author Shares Her Writing Process” Wednesday, May 24, 2017, 6:30PM @ Lanpher Memorial Library

Curiosity Quills Press is pleased to announce the release of author Lisa Kent’s third novel, VINEHART FARM which follows her well-received PEACE COTTAGE series.

VINEHART FARM continues exploring themes of friendship, loss, and belonging presented in Kent's first series. When Eva inherits her parent's rural Vermont farm at a terrible cost, she becomes determined to create a new life for herself. But when a disturbing event in her community leads her to seek justice, she must choose between truth and friendship.

Kent draws on her own history to create the rich and nuanced setting of her newest novel: “Vinehart Farm pays homage to my childhood home—Sunny Side Farm. Writing this book is my way of resurrecting a sense of place for the feelings I still carry about life on the farm.” Readers who fell in love with the first will appreciate Kent’s deft handling of themes like loss, hope, and a sense of belonging.

About Lisa Kent: Lisa Monique Kent is a college librarian and the author of the novels Peace Cottage and Raising Evangeline, a series about hope and new beginnings. She lives with her family and little dog Scout in rural Vermont. She's a story spinner, a music maker, and an avid knitter. When she has free time, she spends it with a book.
