Seven + Italian folk tales you should know will be performed by Ethan Bowen, Artistic Director of Bald Mountain Theater, May 25 to 28 at Spice Studio in Rochester.

“I read hundreds of stories every year” say Bowen, “and have culled a few that fascinate me to share with our audience.” Bald Mountain Theater’s mission is to bring the great stories to life for all ages. “These stories are magical but also contain great humanity with which everyone can relate.”

Titles include: The Siren Wife, Uncle Wolf, The Shepard at Court, A Ship for Land and Sea, The Palace of the Doomed Queen, In the Jaws of the Merman, Silent for Seven Years, Bastianello, and The Happy Man’s Shirt.

Running time 1hour, the tales have the strong subject matter (death, love, revenge, humor) that make for great stories.
