May 27 and 28 is Vermont Crafts Council Open Studio Tour. Ever wonder how furniture is made or what a painter’s studio looks like? Come and see studios and the work of the 5 local artists who are participating in this annual event. You can learn some about the "life of an artist" as we explain techniques and tools, show works in progress, and share our inspiration behind what we create.
Here are the Bennington/Arlington artists:
• Tony Conner, Original painting, limited edition prints, 206 Crescent Blvd, Bennington

• Jean Darmer, Mt Anthony Studio, Traditional Theorems- Craftsman-era and bird paintings, 1802 West Road, Bennington

• Martha Beauchamp, The Quilted Jardin, Art quilts showing pets and landscapes, 117 Corey Drive, North Bennington

• Jessica Putnam-Phillips, Battenkill River Pottery, Ceramics, clay flutes, bowls, vases, and jewelry, 3456 Rte 7A, Arlington

• Ray Finan, Ray Finan Furniture Studio, Custom hand crafted wood furniture, 269 Old Depot Road, Arlington

Works will also be available for purchase and/or custom orders can be placed. Come enjoy a delightful time with the five of us. Hours are 10 - 5 PM each day.
