Vermont's Theatre Kavanah is proud to premiere “Of the Better Kind,” a new play by Joy Cohen set in Burlington’s Old North End at the turn of the century!

Artist Ben Zion Black--a painter, musician, poet, and all around Renaissance man--is struggling to complete his new work: an expansive religious mural for the Chai Adam Synagogue. The local cafe is abuzz with anticipation and rumors. Join us for this tale of artistic passion, romantic love, and cultural survival as an immigrant community finds its way in the New World. Based on the true story behind the Lost Shul Mural (www.lostshulmural.org)
