Theatre Kavanah presents a staged reading of “Anna’s Journal,” an original screenplay by Vermont author/educator Joy Kipp, directed by Wendi Stein. Main Street Landing Performing Arts Center, Corner of Lake and College Streets, Burlington. Your neighbors Patricia Julien, Marianne DiMascio and Ruth Wallman are all appearing in this staged reading of a new film script.
Welcome to the world of 13-year-old Anna Ludkin, a Jewish girl growing up in rural Vermont. Shortly after the events of 9/11, Anna's life takes a series of intriguing turns when 16-year old Jamal, a Muslim, enters her world, and her heart. As Anna's and Jamal's stories become intertwined, provocative questions arise, as well as a mystery that Jamal feels compelled to solve.
